The spiritual journey of Oromo seventh day Adventist church in Australia began with the migration of few Oromo seventh day Adventist church members. Though the seventh day Adventist church is a world wide body with many churches in Australia we can't help the challenge associated with a language barrier and strong desire we had to preserve the unique experience of worshiping in Oromiffa which we were used to.
Ultimately, this strong desire forced us to form a Sabbath sunset worship service in members home. From these services the idea of finding a permanent place of worship was born. When few request were sent to different churches the generosity of Parkdale church of Christ members helped our dream come true.
In the year 2006 after meeting with church of Christ board members a decision was made to have a weekly Saturday service. Since its inception the Church has been blessed with steady growth.
